The LeafX® Clean Gutter System is a gutter cover that is designed to keep debris out and keep you off the ladder. How much rain will the LeafX® gutter system handle?

Our panels have been tested to handle any rainfall ever recorded, anywhere

Will it work on roofs with steep pitches?

The Flex Drain allows LeafX® to adjust to any roof pitch. Standard LeafX® panels will work on any roof up to a 16/12 pitch. For any steeper pitches, special high water flow panels can be used.

What material is used in LeafX®?

LeafX® is constructed of 100% .024 aluminum.

What kind of warranty does the LeafX® gutter protection system have?

We offer a full lifetime warranty that guarantees that your gutters will never clog again. In the rare event that they do clog, we'll pay to have someone clean them for free.

Can I install the gutter covers myself?

The only way we are able to honor our no clog guarantee is to have our authorized LeafX® installation professionals handle all of the installation work.

Can squirrels or birds enter and build nests?

No. Since LeafX® is made of .024 aluminum, animals will not be able to chew through it. In addition, aluminum will not warp or distort over time.

Is LeafX® nailed or screwed into the roof or fascia?

No. LeafX® slides under the first row of shingles and is attached to the lip of the gutter with stainless steel screws.

Will LeafX® install over my existing gutters?

It is designed to go over your existing gutters!

Will LeafX® change the appearance of my house?

The LeafX® design is low profile. This design, together with the 14 matching color options, is designed to enhance the look of your home, blend in with your roofline, and hide unsightly metal flashing.

How much will the LeafX® gutter protection system cost?

The cost for installing the system is determined by many variables. System installations require an initial inspection and may require work to be done on the existing gutters. Other factors involve the number of stories on your home which can affect some of the specialized equipment that may be necessary. Finally, linear footage and the condition of the existing fascia and roof can also play a determining role. Will LeafX® prevent ice dams?

Ice dams are caused by poor insulation and ventilation. So no, LeafX® will not prevent ...or cause... ice dams. LeafX® can, however, help reduce the amount of ice build-up in your gutters that can cause gutter seams to split, hangers to loosen, and gutters to pull off the house. Because the ice that used to accumulate in your gutters now goes over the panels, some customers report an increase in icicles. If that is a concern to you, or if you have other questions about ice dam prevention, please call us directly to go over some possible solutions.

Will I need to clean or maintain my LeafX® gutter protection system?

Maintenance on your system may be little to none at all. Like all manufactured exterior products on your home, LeafX® will get dirty over time. If you notice a build up of dirt or debris on your system, simply rinse it off with a high pressure nozzle on your garden hose.

Is LeafX® environmentally friendly ("green")?

Our plant that produces the aluminum sheets used to make LeafX® operates a state of the art, scrap based Mini-Mill. This allows us to make a product that contains 98% recycled material. Furthermore, all scrap metal produced in the formation of our gutter covers is also recycled again so that nothing is wasted. LeafX® is currently in the process of becoming officially certified as a green building product.

E-Z-LOCK® Gutter Screen

E-Z-Gutter's steel screen products are made from .028 expanded galvanized steel that is powder-coated with Midwest Enterprises' own proprietary powder for maximum durability. Steel screen gutter guards are available with either medium or small holes, and are ideal for medium to heavy debris loads.
